Great Stuff from Audubon Adventures

by Kathy Angell

In classrooms across Sonoma County and the nation, the new Audubon Adventures Kits have arrived! This year's study themes include Colonial Waterbirds, Schoolyard Habitats, The Mississippi River, and A Hole is a Home (Animal Abodes). Each kit also includes a Classroom Resource Manual with ideas for using the student newspapers, a National Wildlife Refuge poster, and National Audubon's Family Wildlife Series video about puffins.

Madrone Audubon is seeking someone to coordinate next year's Audubon Adventures program. This job requires filling out a few forms twice each year and helping to evaluate the program with the Madrone Education Committee.

Audubon Adventures is a very important and effective way to help teach natural science information and conservation values. If you are willing to help, please call Kathy Angell at 838-4041.
