Tidepooling at Shell Beach, Sunday, June 14 Ginger
Parish will lead PeeWee's spring tidepool excursion at Shell Beach for ages
seven and up. Please wear boots or shoes that can get wet, and bring an
extra set of dry clothes, a snack and liquids. Call Elham immediately to
make reservations for your family: 573-7183. We'll meet at the Beach promptly
at 7:30 AM to catch the low tide.
Summer Celebration Potluck, Saturday, June 20 We'll
be meeting at the Oak Knolls Group Picnic Area in Spring Lake Park for a
program by Naturalist Judy Fireman and a potluck lunch. Judy will teach
us about the lives, diets, and habits of reptiles and amphibians, and introduce
us to some local newts, lizards, and snakes. A potluck lunch will follow.
Please bring a dish to share with seven or eight people. Drinks and eating
utensils will be provided. Your friends are welcome, but please let Elham
know how many of you are coming: 573-7183.
Directions: At Summerfield and Hoen, turn onto Newanga to access
Spring Lake State Park. At the park kiosk (there is a $4 parking fee, exact
change only), go right and follow the signs to Oak Knolls Group Picnic Area. |
