Saturday, June 7, 1997, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park
Wedid hear or see all of the "target species"--Lazuli Bunting,Northern Oriole, Western Tanager and Pileated Woodpecker. Twentypersons attended, some from the campground, including a couple from Lincoln,Nebraska.

Thirty-nine species were seen. Great looks at Western Tanagers.The weather was great--warm but cool breezes. Still lots of wildflowers,Mariposa Lillies were abundant. Butterflies were active--Pipevine Swallowtail,Tiger Swallowtail and California Sisters.
