Discount Shopping Nature Kits Available Errata | Midweek Refuge TripThe Midweek Walkabout Group will hold its annual birding tour at Sacramentoand Colusa National Wildlife Refuges and Gray Lodge State Waterfowl ManagementArea Wednesday and Thursday, December 4 and 5. These are auto tours withstops at selected wildlife observation points. Meet at Sacramento NWR Headquartersat 9:00 AM on Wednesday (bring lunch). Take Interstate 5 north from Williamsabout 17 miles to the Princeton exit (Norman Rd.) and immediately turn northon the frontage road. Go about 6 miles to headquarters. After the tour,lunch at the refuge, then tour Colusa NWR in the afternoon. For those whowish, overnight in Yuba City and tour Gray Lodge on Thursday. For thosewho can spend an extra night in Williams or Willows, come up on Tuesdayafternoon and catch the spectacular fly-in of waterfowl returning from thefields at dusk.
