Can You Help?

Old Audubon Magazines Piling Up?

Old Audubon Magazines Piling Up?

You can't bear to throw away your old Audubon magazines. But you can'thold onto them forever, either. Here are a few suggestions:

* Take one with you on your next medical visit, and ask permission to leave itin the waiting room for others to enjoy.

* Ask an elementary school teacher if these magazines can be used in aclassroom.

* Pass them along to friends and family with interests in the out-of-doors.Tuck in a copy of the most recent Madrone Leaves newsletter. If they arenot yet Audubon members, you may spark an interest that will result in a newmembership. (Contact Membership Chairperson Karen Nagel, 938-5238, if you sensean imminently probable prospective member.)

* Take an Origami class as Santa Rosa Junior College. The paper and pictureslend themselves well to this artistic activity.

* Recyle for cash and donate the proceeds to Madrone Audubon.

Have I missed other uses? Surely there are many other ideas out there. Pleasesend your suggestions and ideas to Betty Burridge, 1653 Arroyo Sierra Way,Santa Rosa, California 95405.
